CECCARELLI 42 – Lulu Nikka
Launched in September 2024 for Roberto Lacorte—an owner renowned for his bold, futuristic yachts—the Ceccarelli 42 marks a radical turning point in his sailing journey.
No foils.
No carbon fibre.
No autoclave curing.
No rigid sails.
This time, the direction is exactly the opposite.
And the result is a work of art.
Designed by Giovanni Ceccarelli and built by the Cantiere Navale Checchi in Massarosa (Lucca), a distinguished artisanal yard celebrated for its master shipwrights, Lulu Nikka brings the craft of wooden boatbuilding back to centre stage.
The hull is constructed in three-layer laminated mahogany, bonded with epoxy resin—a structural choice that echoes the great tradition of wooden yacht construction while meeting contemporary engineering standards. The result is a yacht that radiates timeless character, combining authenticity with modern structural integrity.
The Ceccarelli 42 is classical in spirit, yet performance remains at the core of the project. On her teak deck, state-of-the-art deck hardware supports a sail plan consistent with Lacorte’s philosophy: a yacht must sail fast, cleanly, and without unnecessary compromise.
Technology is present where it matters, but it never overwhelms the purity of the design. Here, proportion and balance speak first.
With an overall length of 12.80 metres and a maximum beam of 3.16 metres, the Ceccarelli 42 follows a precise stylistic approach:
low freeboard, restrained coachroof, deep bulb keel and a generous, uncluttered cockpit.
Her lines are harmonious and flowing, blending classical elegance with modern naval architecture in a rare and carefully measured equilibrium.
Below deck, the interiors are conceived for a refined and thoughtful cruising experience—ideal for an owner who wishes to enjoy the sea with family or a small circle of guests, in an atmosphere that reflects the yacht’s authentic soul.
The Ceccarelli 42 is naturally suited for participation in Spirit of Tradition gatherings and regattas, where craftsmanship, elegance and the culture of pure sailing converge.
A unique project.
A conscious return to the essential beauty of sailing.
