Engineering, Project Management and Operational Support

Costa Concordia and High-Complexity Projects
Among the studio’s most significant experiences is its involvement in the Costa Concordia wreck removal project, as part of the activities carried out up to July 2014 for the Titan Micoperi consortium.
In this context, Giovanni Ceccarelli led a team of naval architects, civil and mechanical engineers, and designers, contributing to an operation of exceptional technical, organisational and logistical complexity. This experience demonstrates the studio’s ability to operate in highly demanding engineering environments, where design, construction, transport and installation require expertise, method and full control over the interaction between different disciplines.

Marinas and Marine Infrastructure for Yachting
Ceccarelli Yacht Design & Engineering has also been developing projects for marinas and infrastructure dedicated to pleasure boating since the early 1970s. In this field, the studio has built solid experience in the design of marinas, berthing facilities and harbour structures, approaching these interventions as systems in which functionality, quality of use, spatial organisation and the relationship with the coastal setting must achieve a precise balance.
This activity was initiated by Epaminonda Ceccarelli with the Marina di Cervia project and continued over the years with further developments, including works for the Circolo Velico Ravennate, the Ravenna Yacht Club, and studies related to the Darsena di Città in Ravenna. In this sector as well, the studio applies an integrated method that combines design, engineering and a concrete understanding of the marine environment.
